Subject: Paddling stores in VA?
Someone on another forum (non-paddling) is looking to buy a cheap and stable recreational kayak to use as a platform for photography
on sheltered water. He lives in Manassas, VA. Can anyone recommend stores in that area where he might be able to rent some
different types to help him decide before buying?

You might try Springriver ( http://www.springriver.com/ ) in
Rockville, MD. They are a dedicated paddlesports shop with a big
selection. I got my kayak there, and can recommend them.

There are several outfitters on the South Fork of the Shenandoah
River, between Luray and Front Royal, VA. They rent kayaks and canoes,
are on the water, but selections will be limited; See:
