Okay, despite the best planned lays of mice and men (was that right?), I'm not going to get my ties flied for this years GFS. I had high hopes of doing up a dozen while in New Zealand, but the combination of long days and longer necked bottles meant I never got to tie up any. Now that I'm back in Hongo Congo, work starts tomorrow and I don't see any opportunity to get them tied in the next week. I'm not entirely sure I even see an opportunity to get my day job done in the next week. I know, I know. Twenty noodles with a wet lash, but I'd rather have a #22 Mustad driven up my little toenail than apologize on roff. Please accept them, tyers. :-( --riverman

No, not Singapore: Hong Kong, and the frivolous tone of that post (and the erroneous posting of it on the wrong newsgroup!) can be chalked up to an 11 hour flight yesterday from New Zealand. But I got a good 13 hours sleep last night, and now I'm ready to go prep for a week at school. Rats, I hate that feeling when vacation is ebbing away... --riverman

I didn't know that you were a flyfisher/tier. If you get a chance to look in the news archives, check out who wrote the RFD for rec.outdoors.fishing.fly.tying.
