Subject: Europe based group?

Hi, I've been lurking here for a few weeks and I like the group very much. Friendly and very good and detailed information. So I'd like to ask a question. Is anybody aware of similar groups in Europe (my news-server offers uk.rec.boats.paddle and a Polish one, pl.rec.kajaki)? I'd be most interested in discussing and learning about tours in western Europe (Germany/France/Belgium/Netherlands), and about folding kayaks (like the Klepper boats). You might try Google Search uk.rec.boats.paddle. They are in Britain. That is a little used news group but links to others. As the BCU is the oldest kayak club i know of they should be a great source. nf.paddling in Newfoundland canada is a good one as well , but it is mostly local issues.

I think he already mentioned the UK.RBP newsgroup (which BTW, has nothing to do with Google search) himself. It has unfortunately, after the arrival of the two trolls ( http://wilko.webzone.ru/troll.html ), lost its splendor. The uk rivers guidebook forum is where many, if not most, of the old UK.RBP crowd gather online nowadays: http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/ HTH Wilko -- Wilko van den Bergh wilko(a t)dse(d o t)nl Eindhoven The Netherlands Europe ---Look at the possibilities, don't worry about the limitations.--- http://wilko.webzone.ru/

Once I have some more time, I'll have a look at the British pages and fora you mentioned. Martin PS.: in news:de.* there is apparently no paddling group, but de.rec.outdoors has quite some water threads, as I found out after posting here. For fr.* I'm still searching. -- Wir wissen nicht, was deine Pflichtlektüre ist, unsere ist desd, der Rest ist Kür. (Helga Schulz in desd)
